Vintage Gryffindor Dress

This was a costume inspired by the fabulous fifties, and Harry Potter. I created this dress to be a part of a group of ladies who were each going to make a dress inspired by one of the houses in Harry Potter. We had to stay within the 40’s or 50’s. I went with the later and created one for Gryffindor (My house was already spoken for).  After the event I got the idea to create vintage advertisements for items that might have existed in the Harry Potter universe during the 50’s. I contacted Bryan to take the photos for me, and created a broom and wand for the shoot. Each would be a featured product.  I handled the post production, and all the copy is based of the writing style of era ads.
