The Phoenix

This was a 24 hour project.  I gave myself the challenge of concepting, creating and shooting a costume within 24 hours.  All the materials were things I had left over from other projects. Mostly scraps and rejected things I hadn’t thrown out yet. I was inspired by a house near where I lived that burnt down a long time ago. I wanted to create a Phoenix that would rise from this location.  Sarah helped with hair & makeup, and assisted on the shoot itself. Riki was a sport and even let us bury her in ash and rubble. This project was a lot of fun, and the challenge was a big success.
