Hero for a day
I was invited to the Fernbank Superhero Day this past weekend, and I had a blast! It was so great getting to pose with all the kids, and see them all in costume. They had comic artists, heros in costume, an awesome DJ, Hula hoops, ice cream, and then some. I think my head would have exploded if I had gone to something like this when I was a kid.
I was worried none of the kids would know who I was. Most of them just thought that Riki and I were bad guys because we were in black and gold, but then a tiny little girl asked me where Green Arrow was, and just made my day.
I had to do a quick remake of my costume so the cut was more modist. I'm glad there are a few versions of this costume!
Bonus: When I can hula hoop in costume!
Sarah was kind enough to come and wrangle me. She always does such a great job on my makeup! She got dolled up like the vintage/pin-up princess she is and totally stole the show!
